So how do you entertain yourself for a full hour, in a place you would rather not be?
I have put together a survival kit of things you need to survive bus trips. It might help you out if you ever find yourself on a dull bus trips, like I do every single weekday.

1)Headphones.
If you do not bring head phones you will be doomed to listen to the radio, twelve year olds fighting about Mine-craft, loud people up the back of the bus , and if your lucky; a boy singing Taylor Swift in front of you (oh yeah! It has happened!)
Bring headphones so you can block it all out keep your sanity.
2) Book.
What better place to be then a world of teenagers killing each other in the Arena?
Actually, come to think of it The Arena is pretty much the same place as the bus but at least Katniss's journey has a cool love triangle. Books have magic in them, they make you travel out of bus trips and into new worlds.
And if you are unsure about what book to read, go to your local library and borrow out anything by Melina Marchetta, trust me you will not be disappointed!
3) Writing/Art journal.
I love to live by this quote; "Never stop creating new shit"
Everybody is an artist. Everybody has the capacity to create something out of nothing. So why not create something on monotonous bus rides? .Before you know it you will be a genius all because you wanted to escape from boring bus trips.

It is highly important to get a good seat. The window seats are always the best because you get to look out at all the picturesque views and the front seats are also the best because majority of the time you get your own seat due to people preferring to sit up the back.
